Cathédrale Saint Nicolas

The single-towered
Cathédrale Saint Nicolas dominates the Fribourg landscape. You may remember some views from the top when I arrived in Fribourg. Saint Nicolas is the patron saint of the city - so the Saint Nicolas festival this weekend is a pretty big deal. More on that next week, I'm sure.

(The organ is stunning. And Fribourg has a pretty big Organ Festival every year.)

(I am always happy to see a jubé - or a rood screen. This one looks like it has barbed wire on the top. Try to take that down reformation-ers from Geneva!)
