Crosswalks

After a bit of a downer post yesterday on McDonald's, I figure I should have something positive. This will fall into the category of Things I Like about Switzerland.

One thing I love about Switzerland is that drivers stop for pedestrians at crosswalks. Even if they are cruising along, they brake and let the pedestrian cross. So simple. So considerate. So genius.

As for pedestrians, they too, respect the rules of the road. No jaywalking. No go when the walking man is red and standing still. Pedestrians obey traffic signals and cross the street at crosswalks.

Drivers and pedestrians alike! Take note! Avoid road rage - in the car or in the crosswalk. Look for the crosswalks. Watch out for pedestrians. Don't move until the little walking man says so.
