Rumba

Last night, I went to go see a film: Rumba.

A brief note on Swiss cinemas:
There are intermissions. I think it depends on which theatre you go to - but at Cap'Ciné in Fribourg (an impresive underground theatre - one friend told me it is an American-style cinema) - both times I've gone - there has been an intermission. But I've heard from some, that there are not always intermissions at Cap'Ciné. So I'm not too sure why (not) and when there is (not) an intermission.

Now - take a minute to check out
Rumba's web site. It was a simple film - with few words, a great deal of physical acting. There were times when I felt impatient with it, but when it was over, I was thrilled to have seen it. In the section Vidéos - look at the three extraits. Anyone who has taught English in a French elementary school (Oh! That's me!) will appreciate Extrait 2. If you see it is playing in a theatre near you: Go.
