Grottes de la Madeleine

This past Sunday I visited the Grottes de la Madeleine, which are just outside Fribourg. These caves are actually a sort of monastery that was dug out by two monks in the 17th Century. There is a chapel, a kitchen, and even a bell tower! Pictures below show the outside as well as some of the rooms that were carved out inside the cliff.
